"This is not the property you're looking for. The staff is nice enough, but the property being open to the public, no hotel grade doors on the rooms (they were closet doors with no deadbolt), and no AC on a hot night is not acceptable. If you like camping, this is the place for you. Otherwise, you are getting what you're paying for. Given all the positive reviews, I was surprised when we checked in at how bad it was. "My room had baby cockroaches crawling around in the table I was working at under the TV. I loved the room because it was spacious and clean, other than those baby cockroaches. But the A/C was a little loud. I think it was on auto and so it would turn off and on and every time it would turn back on it kind of made a loud noise which woke me up a few times."

"This is a beautiful, quiet property just above Hilo town. The view of Hilo from the property is AMAZING! Great value for the room we had for 5 days. The property is very relaxing and the sounds of the coqui frogs at night add to the feeling of relaxation and induction of sleep. I would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Hilo."

"Not Worth it, Price Like 4-5 hotel. It Like motel. .Very noisy during the day and night, people are passing your corridor to go to lobby and dragged their luggages . NO elevator, I need to carry All luggages to level 1 downstairs. Staffs helpful and friendly. I booke d for 4 adults. bed like queen but a bit small. Shouldn’t be for for 4 adults. No kettle and you need to pick up all glass, tea and coffee in receptions., bring your own water bottle as well. "

"We had an enjoyable stay, we were received by Kelly with fresh delicious muffins, the house was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, each day was a different menu with fresh baked muffins, fresh fruit, juice, coffee or late and attention to detail. Kelly was very hospitable and she made us feel like home. I recommend a stay here "
