"Overall good hotel and would book again. We had a king bedroom with an adjoining room with two queens. Bathrooms were tiny. The shower didn’t have a sliding door, and the bathrooms had no locks. Tiny closet and no dresser. Had to live all week out of suitcase. Also no fridge. Can’t beat the location though! Steps away from Times Square and Broadway shows. The meal vouchers were nice. Three options to use them. The best free breakfast was the one outside the hotel just steps away down the block. Clean nice hotel. Nice staff. Felt secure too, with someone watching the elevators to make sure only guests with keycards accessed the elevators."

"We recently stayed at The New Yorker for a quick two-day, one-night trip, and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is nice and centrally located right off 8th Avenue, making it very convenient for exploring the heart of New York. Although there was construction happening outside, it did not impact our stay. Check-in was a highlight. The front desk associate was welcoming, allowed us an early check-in, and even provided an upgraded room, which we truly appreciated. There were a few small touches that could have made the stay even better. For a hotel of this size and location, it would have been nice to have complimentary coffee or water available in the lobby. While the room included a Keurig, it only had coffee and no tea options. Additionally, there was no microwave in the room or accessible anywhere in the hotel. After ordering in-room dining, which was quite expensive, it would have been helpful to reheat leftovers rather than having to go back out. Bathroom amenities were also very basic. Items like lotion or makeup remover wipes would have been a nice addition, especially compared to other hotels at a similar or even lower price point. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, especially the location and customer service, but a few added conveniences and amenities would elevate the experience even more. "

"The room and hotel were excellent. The only issue that I had was that in the shower there was a silicone lip that is supposed to hold the water back from going all over the floor. It wasn’t secured or siliconed properly. There was also some mold on and under it. "

"Room wasn’t clean with hotel standards, the installations are very worn out. Good area in FIDI, there is a city bank bike station right in front. No help from staff to get transportation to airport but most of the staff were very nice, specially security guy at night, he was very very polite and friendly. Overall an ok stay, but if you are looking to get nice basic amenities DON’T stay here. I forgot to take pictures but their towels are ripped and smell terrible. I had to buy 2 towels to use during my stay since their white linens sucked. "

"The elevators were not working properly during our stay. Sometimes we waited 15 minutes for an elevator to arrive. Rooms were a bit tired. Views and location are great. "

"The rooms are so micro - which is normally fine but as a business traveler - you need a solid space to hang your clothes. My twin room had no place to do so unless it was on the towel bar next to the toilet. Not ideal. It's clean and hip but there are some fundamentals that need to be considered for business travelers."

"The hotel was a little dated, but it was fine. There were people fighting in the hall. The in-room phone did not work. I called the front desk on my cell and they answered and immediately put me on hold-for 20 minutes. It was scary. I did not feel safe with the fighting and not being able to get hold of the front desk in a timely manner. I dont think I will stay here again. "
