"There is no fan or air conditioning in the room. Thus, NO AIR circulation. Bring your own fan. The window opened but there was no screen and we were looking at garbage bins and dumpsters. Thus, we kept the window closed to avoid any bugs/flies from entering as well as any odours. There was rarely anyone at the front desk as they guys also had to look after the breakfast area and who knows what else. there is no counter space in the bathroom for any toiletries. "The snug was immaculate however we were unable to regulate the heating. In spite of turning all visible controls off, the heat was unbearable to the point we had to open the door at 4am."

"Great place to stay if visiting Edinburgh. House very traditional and clean. The owners were incredibly helpful and kind, always checking to make sure you’re ok. Beds super comfy, immaculate clean bedding, had a great two nights sleep. Really busy road outside but you cannot hear a thing inside once the windows are closed. So, so peaceful. Parking outside the house also was great. We will 100% be returning. A fab restaurant around the corner too. All in all 5* for sure."

"Nice hotel in convenient location. Only problem was the fact I received an email 24 hours before arrival saying it may be noisy as the had karaoke on Saturday nights. I asked for a quiet room but on arrival was told this would cost £100. "

"The rooms smells like hospital. Dirty common washroom and showers with high speed water. Please don’t book rooms if you are on vacation it will ruin your vacation."

"Well when we checked in we were informed that they were having a high school prom that night. “But done worry it will be done by 11” we were unable to enjoy the restaurant, bar or beautiful grounds do to screaming teenagers all over the place. I booked this room 6 months ago as a surprise for my husband. We go to bed early due to having an early day. We could hear the thumping music thru the walls. Very disappointed! "Great location close to Edinburgh Airport but in lovely countryside (it has a Golf course). Great staff, good dining choices and excellent facilities; lots of gym equipment, large heated indoor pool, sauna & steam. Fantastic rest stop after long travel to Edinburgh or resting place before long travel home."
