"Clean room but for the money and for what it is - don't set your expectations high! The room does have all you need for a night's stay - but no more, and it would be pretty unbearable with two people. The finishings look very cheap - but having said all of that, it was clean and there were some clever designs to get everything you need into a small space. "

"Been to this hotel multiple times at this point, even before it was the Leonardo Royal, and it's always worth it for the spa alone. On the whole I always like staying here, and it has a great location for not being in central London. However... check-in was insane. Checked in online, which means nothing - queue was out the door and an American guy was losing his mind as he too had already checked in online, yet still had to queue for 30 mins. And then... my wife and I were put in a DISABLED ROOM. For what reason, I don't know. We were only staying for two nights, so didn't bother complaining, but I do feel like things have maybe fallen apart a little here. On top of that, as nice is the spa is, it was rammed - guessing this poace is now being advertised to big groups (like hen and stag do's) which sucks a bit. "

"The hotel was clean and its location was convenient. I am unable to provide a five-star rating because I was unable to check in on the day of my arrival due to an unforeseen issue with my flight. The hotel declined to refund me for the missed day, citing their policy that a 24-hour notice is required for cancellations. I explained that my flight was canceled due to a terrorist incident while en route to London. I had even emailed the hotel to inform them of the situation prior to my intended arrival. I spoke with the manager, but unfortunately, no resolution was offered. I also contacted Expedia, and they informed me that the hotel was not cooperating. I stayed for a total of six nights. I was quite disappointed regarding the lack of a refund or compensation."

"There was mold on the ceiling of our room but the staff was really friendly and public transport in & out of London is really easy to navigate"

"Great location to explore this area of London and easy access to transport links if needed. There were some good pubs and restaurants a short walk away from the hotel as well."

"Stayed for one night and had a perfect stay. The bed was big and super comfortable, and the room itself was really spacious. The location couldn’t have been better — right next to Aldgate station, which made getting around so easy (I had a private dinner at a restaurant in Fenchurch street which was a 5 min walk from the hotel). The bathroom was also impressively large and had a ring-light mirror that was perfect for selfies! I’d definitely stay here again."
