"Housekeeping service for making up the room is not automatic. It is provided upon request after the second night. They have grooms for the deaf. Hey doorbell button flashes a light in the room. The included breakfast seems to be somewhat standard and consistent with the other Hampton Inn’s. The air conditioning, blackout curtains, and sound insulation provide a very pleasant environment for a good night sleep. I am legally blind and enjoyed my stay without having any difficulties."

"Front desk was a mess - door key would not work - had to go and get staff - looked at the same garbage in the elevator lobby on my floor for 3 days. Staff was a meh - not friendly, but not unfriendly. Room was clean. Will most likely not stay here again."

I didn't like the fact that as soon as we got in our room; we noticed that the bathroom stunk. The smell to me was of a room that was cleaned with dirty water. My daughter said it smelled like urine. "We came for a high school graduation and it was perfect for our stay in Southfield. Rooms were large and had a refrigerator and kitchen area. Staff were helpful and breakfast (included) was a nice addition. The pool was family friendly and was fun for my niece."

"The Holiday Inn Express in Novi was a very decent place. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast hours were very short but the option were good. I liked that coffee was available 24/7. The workout room was nice but too warm and didn't have much for strength training. The staff was friendly. I liked the option to not have house keeping clean your room. "This hotel appears as though it was REALLY nice maybe 10 years ago. The 5th floor smells like dog/mildew. The rooms themselves appeared to be clean, but there was absolutely back mold on the top of the roof over the shower. The door going into the bedroom of the suite was also broken and idk if they ran out of linens, but there was a fitted mattress pad folded over on my bed used as one of the blankets on the bed.
