Light at the end of the tunnel The light is actually the headlight of the narrowboat about to emerge from 151865. The tunnel is 2493 metres long and even from a boat entering the tunnel the far end is little more than a pin-prick of light in the distance.

Fortified observatory, Wast Hills This observatory is on the edge of the playing fields and other grounds owned by Birmingham University. It seems to be heavily protected by razor wire and behind a gate with hefty ironwork, presumably to keep out the local n'ere do wells.

Tunnel waste, Wast Hills This small cluster of trees has grown around the shaft and excavations from the Worcester and Birmingham Canal Wast Hill tunnel which runs directly underneath.
