"Our experience was overall okay. We received a room upgrade, which was great! The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and it even had a washer and dryer, which was a nice bonus. The pools were very good, and the food was tasty. We also had a great experience with the female attendant at the beach bar, who was very attentive and friendly. One thing that really bothered us was a woman trying to sell tours as soon as we arrived. I told her I was very tired and not thinking about that at the moment, but she was extremely persistent. Even after I had just entered my room, she called the room, which felt intrusive. The restaurants were good, but the service was not very pleasant. At the end of every meal, they would ask us to check out, seemingly expecting tips. Although everything was supposed to be all-inclusive, we felt pressured to tip constantly. Additionally, a male bartender at the pool bar was quite rude. The beach was very small and had a lot of seaweed. The hotel is good for those who truly just want to relax, but there is absolutely nothing to do at night. After dinner, there are no activities—basically, you just go to sleep. There’s nothing happening after 10 pm at the hotel."

"I think the only I think everything was wonderful. The staff were helpful. Food was delicious. People were very gracious. The only thing I felt to be challenging was navigating the property and understanding how certain systems worked but as soon as I asked, I got the information I needed. Thank you. "

"Wonderful small, quiet resort. We had a wonderful 4 day stay. The staff are wonderful and very responsive and helpful. The only inconsistencies we experienced were in the mixing of drinks - you may get different results depending on which bar you are at. The plant based menu was also hot or miss and could be improved to add plant based proteins. If you are vegan, you’ll need to bring your own supplements as the meals contain . "

"I would definitely stay here again, considering the limited resort-like options on Isla. The pool was a 10/10. We really enjoyed the attentive poolside service. Skip the restaurant for dinner. It's nothing to write home about and our food was over-salted. The food is fairly OK for breakfast and lunch. I believe Izla has an all inclusive option, but I'd skip on that. Word of warning: Do not do the "Resort Credit" where you put down money upfront to use throughout your stay. Just pay as you go. Every time I tried to use my credit they said I was out and I had to go up to the front desk. Lo and behold, my credit was just fine each time. Funny how that never happened when my husband was closing out the bill. Other than that inconvenience, overall we enjoyed our stay. "

"I honestly like the place for the pool and activities. The food was a hit and a miss; I like the steakhouse restaurant other than that the buffet you may like some items or not; choose wisely but far most I love the liquor in the room; as far liquor wise they also could of had done better in selection. We had a car to drive around so when we got bored with the food we went out even though this place was all inclusive. I would stay again if they improve their menu and liquor selections. "

"The hotel is small and family-friendly with welcoming, helpful staff. The decor is really nice and the property is very clean. Our room was spacious and modern with very comfortable beds. The shower is glass and basically in the open, so there's not a lot of privacy. The balconies are beautiful and the balcony doors are very high quality so they keep out a lot of noise from the music by the pool and nearby bars. The pool is stylish and clean and it was great to have hot tubs right beside it. They play loud music by the pool from about 7:30 am, which I found annoying. There is one main restaurant that serves a great breakfast and does a late lunch/dinner service. The portions are small but there are no issues if you order multiple items. There is also a good snack bar. I chose the hotel because I thought it was on a beach. This is technically true, but the sand is very gravelly and it's not suitable for swimming. The water is shallow and silty. You can't go out very far because there is boat activity in the area. I hoped to walk around the local area to see sights and explore, that's not really possible. There's not much to see nearby and a lot of the island is hidden away behind high walls or bushes. It costs $10-$15 US to get a taxi to the town/beaches in the north. Those beaches are nice but crowded. There are some great beach clubs like Mayan with sun loungers and good food. Overall, I found the town tacky and hectic and a lot of the island run-down and depressing."

"It was a clean and beautiful hotel and an easy vacation for all ages. There are fun activities during the day (Pictionary and bingo by the pool were a highlight!) and family events at night. The staff was very helpful and restaurants were easy to get into most nights. "

" Food variety is offered since they have 6 to 7 restaurants inside the hotel. The best options are those who required advance reservations. Just make sure you bring proper footwear if you are going to these restaurants since flip flops or beach wear are not allowed. Your designated butler will be happy to assist you on arrival, especially if you have WhatsApp on your phone, providing you with schedules, restaurant options, and other comforts. For airport to hotel or vice versa transportation, you can book a shuttle through the hotel or online via Cancun Shuttle. I recommend the latter, as I saved about $70. Don't forget to have smaller bills for tips and other expenses. "
