The House at Ramsgate
8/10 Good
"The staff were all super friendly and helpful - prior to, during and after our stay when we left bags on checkout and returned to collect them later in the day. The property has been lovingly restored, the bed was super comfortable and the view over the harbour is amazing. The location is great for exploring the harbour and town centre and the Loop bus passes right by. Although we were offered an upgrade to a seaview king we stayed with our original accessible room as we wanted the superking bed and wet room and we knew that meant we would need to use the staff stairway. A few elements were lacking which may be considered details but surprised us - carpet fairly stained, no milk/coffee in room, no shelves for toiletry bags in wet room, crisp packets and rubbish on patio, fan not very strong and noisy when oscillating. It was a hot night, had been 27C during day, so needed windows open and so fairly constant traffic noise was unavoidable as hotel is right by the road. Overall we appreciated our stay, would recommend but would return in spring or autumn when rooms would be cooler and windows can be left closed to mitigate the traffic noise."
Yarrow Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful stay at the Yarrow. The rooms were modern air conditioned and comfy. Love the automatic blinds for the high window! Breakfast was amazing. Every staff member we met were wonderful"
Canterbury Bell, Margate by Marston's Inns
8/10 Good
"For the price it is a nice clean hotel, close by to lots of shops, parking onsite and breakfast was good."
Shenandoah House
10/10 Excellent
"I was greeted by Jim, who was a welcoming and very helpful host. I was upgraded to the cabin at the rear of the garden. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It came equipped with a large tv, fan (needed on a very hot day) and heater for the colder months. The only downside side was the toilet/shower was at the other end of the garden, which is okay in the hot weather but not so good if it is freezing cold or raining. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of staying in the room."
The Pegwell Bay Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Just a one night stay. One of the hottest days of the year. There is no aircon but there was a fan. No aircon not normally an issue! Staff are great. Restaurant very good. Lovely place to stay and easy access to Ramsgate."
Old Town House by Ezestays
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay. We stayed in the penthouse, and it felt like a real treat Mark, who runs the place, was lovely when we arrived. He let us leave our bags there as we were early. The room was adorable. I got up and had a bath in the morning, and the location was perfect as we were on the Pride march."
