"Beautiful property in a wonderful location for us. My wife I want to Allegretto for the Paso Robles Fair & 2 concerts (not for wine). The check-in was fine but the room smelled like cigarette smoke. They were nice about it, corrected the problem, put us in a new room. After the concert on day one the Parking Valet was not there even though we paid for it (10:30pm or so) so that was disappointing. They did credit back. The pool was nice, food very good. The owner told us a power outage a few days ago wiped out his key card machine, so he couldn't give us keys because replacement was still on order, that we'd have to just find him and he'd let us in to our room. "We had booked our stay at Paso Robles Inn and were offered a $96 upgrade to The Piccolo. The upgraded hotel rooms were so nice, very clean, beautifully decorated. That being said, if you stay at The Piccolo, you should know - the lobby is not staffed 24-hours, nor is valet, so it's difficult to get assistance when you need it. Also, the pool is quite separate from The Piccolo, so getting there in your bathing suit is not ideal. The fitness center is included in your stay, but it is at a fully...
