"Pros- Fantastic location. Older & dated hotel. Reminded us of old apartments that may have been converted. Great staff, clean & amenities good like pool & hot tub, pool table, shuffle board, library with board games. Cons- No Air Conditioning Would stay again- yes. Can forgive a/c for location & price. As we are getting warmer summers, the property should think about that upgrade."

"The hotel is beautiful including all the flower gardens around the grounds and the staff were all very helpful and responsive. We loved the high tea and soaking in the hot tub in the afternoon. The breakfast in the dining room was lovely but we did have to wait awhile to get in. No one let us know we’d need a reservation on a Sunday morning. We appreciated the speedy service once we were inside and let them know we n the fed to catch the morning ferry. "

"The check-in/out process was quick and easy. All of the staff were great. The room was updated and clean. The bed was comfortable. The restaurants and pubs attached to the hotel had great drinks and food. My only complaint would be the noise from the club on the weekends but I knew that when I booked so not really a complaint from me but something people should be aware of. I would definitely stay at the Strathcona on our next visit."
