"The room we stayed in was 101. Walked in the door to discover an odor that I can only describe as unpleasant. The carper was filthy. My wife got out of the shower and walked to the bed and found her feet were dirty, like she'd been walking on the beach. No Kleenex in the room, only 1 bar of soap to share between the sink and the shower. (The vanity was across the entry way from the toilet/shower room) Complained to the desk during check out and got very little response, let alone a refund....

"Everything was great. The rooms are very nice, and the beds are big and comfortable. What I liked the most about the room was that it had a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. The pool is nice, and there is a jacuzzi as well. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and enjoyed many other amenities too. I would definitely recommend this place."

"This was a solid hotel. The lobby was extremely quiet. One of my only complaints is that every time I went up to the desk, nobody was there. I could see the staff sitting in the back on their phones. I waited a few minutes for them to realize that I was standing there. The person working the free breakfast was amazing. She was super friendly and efficient. My only other complaint is that the walls are so thin! We had an adjoining room with complete strangers who had kids. The kids were playing...

"I was not expecting a motel. Bed was comfortable, bathroom tight. Hotel in front gives different vibe. Americinn is main hotel where ice machine is, breakfast & pool. If I knew I would have booked there. Poor signage, entry off main road is steep. Each building needs an ice machine. We have a hard time walking. Had to drive to get ice. Didn't use pool. Breakfast was ok. No coffee today, they were out of it bed never made."

"Rarely does one feel they have been welcomed as if they had "come home" to a hotel or Bed & Breakfast. I have stayed in a few grander historic hotels, but never felt so at home as when my son and I stayed a few mights at The Montague Inn. It is a lovely, beautifully maintained mansion from the 1930s, almost immaculately clean, with charming and comfortable guest rooms, sitting areas, patios and gardens. "There was no pool to use as it was out of order, but no one told me this before I booked my day. We needed to switch rooms at 9:30 at night on our second night because our first room toilet wouldn’t flush. We were also missing a bath stop from a room that we paid for extra to have a tub. There was also many bathroom fixtures that were coming off the wall like it was very haphazardly put together."

"Funny that the description on Google maps says this hotel is "modern". The room was straight out of the 70s. Not intentionally. Everything was old and tired. There was a stain from a burned cigarette on the edge of the tub. The desk's finish was all worn and the carpet was old and needed to be cleaned. The staff was nice, but this place could uses a serious cleaning and update to the rooms and amenities."
