The resort caters family and couple guests. They have an outstanding thoughtful eco friendly Mandapa Camp which is a kids club. There is no electronic gadgets or even air conditioner within the club.... but they have a cow, chickens, ducks, and rabbits! For real!!!

I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and traffic of other places in Bali. The only consideration is stairs, if that’s a problem then you might want to try elsewhere, but for a great vacation you can’t go wrong with Black Penny Villas."
"I stayed 4 nights at this beautiful gem just outside of Ubud City Center. The accommodations are lovely and it is very quiet as the villa is backed by rice fields. The staff is exceptional! Breakfast included was cooked to order and served at your room. There are several very good eateries within walking distance. It's about 45 minutes to walk into the city center if you want to visit the palace and art market. The villa staff arranged a very nice tour for me to several UNESCO sites. I...

It is near the groceries store. So that it makes you easy to get anything. It takes around 5 min to get to Ubud Center where restaurants, and market is around.
Another thing about this place is the helpful and friendly staff. And we got the local food for breakfast. "
"The hotel is stunningly located at the edge of famous Sayan River Ubud. The Villa decoration and design is typically Balinese style. The private pool is something worth to try. It is very appropriate for Honeymooners. Breakfast is served a la carte with delicious food and healthy drinks."

I find the service quality consistent across the different places, a unique experience I have not found with other hotels I stayed. Compared to our first stay at Andaz Bali, my breakfast experience was greatly improved. There was so little waiting time for my orders unlike the first time when it took quite a while waiting time.
