"We stayed here for the weekend of26th June , what a gem of a place to find . Room was lovely , staff were very chatty and nothing was too much trouble , food excellent . Although not in the normal hot spot stays , this pub is in a quiet location but not far from anywhere . Highly recommend a stay here at this pub"

"Cleaning staff excellent Bar staff excellent Front desk not good at all We were treated poorly as there was a wedding and got all the attention No A/C and temp was 90 degrees. Just got very small fan."

"Staff were amazing, shout out to Rob in the bar, willing to go out of his way to provide excellent customer service. Friendly, knowledgeable and adaptable, creating a mocktail which was delicious and exactly what I had wanted. Unfortunately, these days, if something is not a quick fix then customer service often goes out of the window… not here! All staff were attentive and happy to acknowledge requests when necessary. Breakfast service was wonderful, great selection which was replenished...

"Pros: World class restaurant. Mussels were incredible. Breakfast was lovely and included. Friendly staff. Our room was quaint with historical fireplace, decorated beautifully. Location was convenient and free street parking was easy to find. Cons: Bed was extremely hard and lumpy. Pillows were flat. Neither of us slept well. We stayed in the executive room on the bottom floor. Dining tables were on the exterior walk of our room. Because there is no a/c windows needed to stay open, so...

"Stayed in the Moon Gazer gypsy caravan. It has ‘lived’ but is cute, quirky and the bed/bedding was lovely. Quiet and private with a bird song orchestra we had lovely weekend drinking locally brewed ale/cider and listening to local ‘turn up and play’ folk musicians. Superb weekend all round."

"The parking was good, off from the road, car was secure. The hostess was great, and very friendly. Room and bathroom could have been cleaner, dust all over the covered garbage bin in bathroom, huge cobweb in corner, and large peeling area on wall of bathroom. Large cobwebs at top of one window. No electrical outlet by beds, major frustration because husband uses CPAP machine to sleep. Continental breakfast was good, lots of fruit. Temperature of water hard to control in shower. No washcloths...

"We stayed one night , good location to Cotswold walk, we didn’t expect self check in, but they did a wonderful job of communicating and it was easy. Rooms new and clean, we unfortunately were there on the hottest days in England, but they did a good job with fan, but we had no Wi-Fi I’m assuming heat had to blame. Overall good stay."

"The Bower House property is truly a gem. Clean and beautiful property at a reasonable rate. Nobody around on Monday and Tuesdays to check you in just a lock box system, but it works well."

"From our after midnight arrival to the manager who went out of his way to change us from one type of handicap access room to one that was better suited to my needs. This property was run like a well oiled machine. The staff overall was polite and helpful, which obviously was made possible by the manager who seemed to treat them all the same way he treated guests (kind and helpful) even when he wasn’t in the building the staff was exceptional. A rare find these days"

"Lovely Village location, and quaint accommodation. I stayed in one of the rooms round the corner from the pub. It was a ground floor room with large bathroom. Things to note: No contact details in the room for reception / pub staff (same thing) No Wi-Fi details - had to go to pub and wait until the barman was free to ask. Only just enough toilet roll for one night for one person (not going to the pub to ask out loud) No plugs near the kettle so had to plug it in on the floor by the door. Food...
