"A beautiful hotel on Samui island. The staff are incredible, the hotel beautifully maintained and so large you feel like you’re truly away from it all. Don’t miss out on visiting the spa (try the coconut flow), or taking one of the complimentary gym classes (Muay Thai training with Mik and Sean was absolutely fantastic!) Last but not least, the food and restaurants. Aum took brilliant care of us at Breakfast, Jakky supplied endless fresh coconuts at the pool bar, One Rai was unbelievably good (special thanks to Raj & chef Armaan who explained so much about the flavours and dishes) and also Pak Thai for traditional Thai food (Beauty was incredible with her food recommendations and education on local dishes!). Also don’t miss the Fire show on the beach after dinner! We can’t wait to come back!"

"This is a spectacular hotel and somewhere to truly unwind. If you have transport or are happy paying around 400bht for a grab taxi each way then the remote location isn't a problem. On site spa and restaurant are very expensive for the quality, which isn't bad, however if you travel to any spa or restaurant the quality of the service and food is always incredible and costs significantly less. "I have stayed at the Chaweng Regent periodically for 15–20 years. It has an excellent location, a lovely beach and pleasant pools, within easy walking distance of central Chaweng but away from the busiest area. However, service can feel geared towards high-volume package tourism, which is frustrating when paying the full room rate. On this visit, my room was not ready at the advertised check-in time. After I complained, I was given a very comfortable replacement that appeared to have been prepared for honeymoon guests. Having just unpacked, I was then asked to move to my original room. I inspected it but declined: it was in a poor location beside the children’s pool and noticeably inferior. A few days later, the hotel generously upgraded me to an excellent beachfront bungalow, which compensated for the inconvenience. Nevertheless, this was my second stay this year, and rooms within the same category have varied considerably in location, condition and quality. Despite paying the full rate, I was concerned that my original allocation appeared to be one of the least desirable rooms. The facilities and location remain excellent, and this quieter visit was more relaxing than my stay in March. However, the inconsistency between rooms would make me nervous about booking again."

"Our family of three (husband, myself and 7 year old daughter), have just returned from an almost two week stay at Kimpton Kitalay. We had an incredible time at the hotel. The room was clean, spacious and we loved the nightly treats whether it’s a face mask or toffees. There is always an attendant in your block of rooms if you need extra towels or a quick refresh. We made so much use of the balcony, such relaxing couches to read and wind down in peace. The breakfast buffets were excellent, the hotel catered for our dietary requirements, even making my daughter gluten free, vegan pancakes and muffins! Shoutout to Chef Banana who did a Thai cooking class for me and my daughter, such a special experience. The kids club is lovely, plenty of activities for children to get involved with. The spa is fantastic, shoutout to Peng who provided the most relaxing massage I have ever had. The infinity pool and the room access pools were well maintained and clean, never felt too busy. The hotel is on a stretch of public beach where you can access water sports, food places, massages on the beach etc. Overall, one of the best stays we have had, all staff is friendly and helpful, food was delicious and the hotel itself was impeccable. Would love to return!"
