"Excellent hotel - would stay again. Really and people. Location was terrific."

"Check in took a long time! I booked two rooms, but one was double booked. When we opened the door we found other guest’s stuff! Very confused! In the other room, refrigerator was empty. As a Hyatt member, i always was given free 2 bottle per room in other Hyatt places. This place refused to give nothing! Very bad experience ever!"

"Our stay has been pleasant. The staffs' English proficiency is quite well, at least we are able to communicate well. The environment is very good, quiet and clean. It's located in an area nearing a lot of famous restaurants and shops. The room is also quite big for such a price. I would love to stay here again if I visit Kyoto next time."

"The room smells like it has a bad drainage system. Once we enter the room and it smells like the toilet has been backed up. The fabric spray provided was useless. Attitude of staff were mixed, some discrimination were definitely present. Felt harrassed by the staff to settle the bill due to deciding to have extra guest in the room which we also had already decided to pay for. "

The size felt just right, the ambiance was lovely, and the staff were warm and accommodating, they even helped arrange a massage reservation for me when my phone wouldn't dial out. "My only criticism is that there is no laundry service or local laundry vendor. Also it would have been helpful for the restaurants in the area to be listed."

"If you have younger kids this place is perfect, and great value! They had a native English speaker at check-in which avoided any confusion. The shuttle bus to our accom was great. The location is in a quiet street, yet only a 2 min walk to a subway station on a line that connects straight to Kyoto Station."

"This was my second stay at this location. It is just steps from the covered shopping areas and Nishiki Market. The hotel itself is very quiet and serene and boasts an interior courtyard with a tree growing in a shallow pool. Coffee and sake are complimentary in the lobby and the rooms feature traditional style furnishings, including a Hiba wood soaking tub. The showers are fantastic and having a laundry machine, fridge and microwave in each room is a welcome bonus. I really enjoy this hotel."
