I think this hotel property has been renewed cuz the sleep room is brighter and better furnished. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. I ended up checked in a room with 2 twin beds, which means the room is bigger. Will go back when I visit Kyoto again.
The rooms and especially the bathrooms are very small and tight, even for two people. However the location made it worth it, it was so easy to travel to/from, whether it be walking, subway or bus! We loved the closeness to everything. It was connected to a Starbucks and had 7-11 right there too, easy for grab and go items before beginning our days.
Very nice room, great location, good variety of breakfast options

Location was excellent as it was very close to the subway. Starbucks was located beside the hotel - definitely a bonus. This is an older hotel so rooms are a bit dated, however, they are spacious compared to other Japanese hotels.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Well located and quiet area. The rooms are outdated.
The hotel has a lovely location. The room is small, as expected. It was very dark, and the carpet was old. The bathroom is the smallest I have seen, even in Japan.
The one thing that really bothered me is the noise. I was staying on the 7th floor, and it seemed people - a lot of people- were having a night party outside the rooms. It went on for a very long time making it impossible to sleep. I called the front desk, they said they would addressed it, but they didn’t. Even with earplugs all of that screaming and yelling could not be canceled. I won’t be stay there again
Food was good they had a lot of options and big dinning room, the staff held my majority of the day while I was out on an adventure and the room was a decent size for one person even two if you travel light
Stayed in the highest floor with a nice view. Our room was big with comfortable bed and pillows! Helpful staff and very nice neighborhood with good traffic connections and 7/11 right on the corner!
Excellent service, delicious breakfast buffet at a good price, clean rooms. Easy check in and check out and overall a great experience and convenient location near Shijo subway station.
Great hotel overall! Convenient location close to restaurants, shops, transportation, Starbucks, and everything you need. I will definitely be returning.
A clean room in a modern hotel in a convenient location. The breakfast buffet is as good as any good standard hotels in Japan. It is a reasonable price as well.
Enjoyed our stay. Clean rooms, refreshed daily. Easy walking location to shops & Nishiki market. Close to subway line for Kyoto Station. Would stay here again.
