"Clean and peaceful "

"We were so impressed by the kindness and flexibility during our stay. They accommodated an early check-in, had all of our luggage from our previous hotel waiting in our room, and even included thoughtful touches (handwritten welcome note). The hospitality was exceptional and made this one of our favorite travel experiences. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!"

"Super location and quiet room with real Japanese style bed on floor. Practical for trips into town or further since bus stops are right beside the building. Locally within walking distance there are ramen restaurants also temples and the Philosophers path. Suited me perfectly as I don't spend much time in hotel I like to be out taking photos. If I visit Kyoto again I would love to stay here again."

"Realistically, for most people, this hotel will probably give you the biggest room you'll get in Japan. We had a room with a large, low, bed, two armchairs and a table and a good size wardrobe to keep things organised, as well as the room having a lot of free space to organise ourselves. It was a genuinely stunning room too - sort of traditional looking but with modern conveniences. The bathroom was also huge, with a shower and a jacuzzi bath. "We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Kyoto. The property was exceptionally clean and very well maintained, and everything felt modern and comfortable. The staff truly stood out throughout our visit — everyone was extremely polite, professional, and genuinely helpful with recommendations, directions, and any requests we had. The location was also very convenient for exploring Kyoto’s main attractions, with easy access to temples, shopping areas, restaurants, and public transportation....

"Hotel is good and clean. Rooms are large for Japan standard. The hotel is not as close to attractions in Kyoto as it is made out to be. Add an extra 10 mins to get to major attractions by walking. Despite handing over my passport with my name on it, hotel staff checked me into someone else’s room and I only found out because the welcome card in the room had someone else’s name on it. "We booked a triple room so were surprised to get to our room and discover only 2 single beds for three adults. The staff were very apologetic and provided complimentary drinks at the bar while the third bed was set up. Other than that the room was lovely and quiet, with a view over the outside garden area. Location was super handy for the walk past many temples to Sannen-Zak’s path and Kiyomizu-Deru. Not too far from Pontocho Alley & Nishiki Market. Woul happily stay her again."
