"This is a really great property in an amazing location. We had the Magnolia apartment and the living room and bedrooms are huge. The palazzo is beautifully restored and it is such a comfortable place. We were able to get a water taxi directly to and from so no dragging luggage around Venice. I highly recommend staying here. "

"From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we reluctantly left, the staff treated us as if we were in their homes. The door staff was friendly, helful and always available. The breakfast team were incredibly talented. The food, service and serving ware were all perfection. The room was spacious, quiet, very clean and well appoin ted with lovely amenities, linens, towels and products. We will find a reason to return...if there were more than 5 stars to give we would give them!"

"Lovely hotel, previously stayed when it was Lacanda san Barnaba and the upgrade is really great, whilst still keeping the originsl ceiling frescos and other features. Great new updsted bathrooms. Great communal areas as well as fab breakfast. Only slight niggle was not much hanging space and no drawers but easily manageable. Overall a great stay"

"The hotel was lovely but be forewarned that what the hotel calls a king/double bed room is a European king size which is 64 inches instead of a US king which is 76 inches wide. Hotel was gracious when we pointed it out but we were expecting a US King. Also, as is probably the case in a lot of Venetian hotels, the room was tiny, smallest room I've ever stayed in over my multiple trips to Italy, with little floor space but the bathroom was a lovely size."

"Lovely hotel. Very central to all parts of Venice. Quiet at night which was great after a long day sightseeing. Good facilities. Lovely roof top terrace/bar. We didn’t opt to have breakfast as we wanted to go out early and explore but thought the value of €15 was good for a buffet as Venice isn’t cheap. Great location, clean and staff very helpful. Would definitely stay again"

"Fantastic location right on the canal by the rialto bridge! It was great being able to walk right out of the room into the heart of the city. Easy access to everything and boat transportation to get in and out for travel. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Great views from the rooftop bar!"

"I liked being greeted by staff like I was an old friend. They sat us comfortably in a cozy lobby area with drinks and warmth. To be honest until we got here I was not liking Italy at all. This hotel and staff was/is all the good stories I have heard about Italy. I liked it so much I changed our trip and extended our stay here in Venice another day. "Beautiful property, fit our family of 6 without any issue- very spacious. Excellent location as well - very walkable. 4 stars only for accessibility. Having four kids wait in the rain after a long travel night and the staff not arrive on time for 10am was tough. We just wanted to drop our bags but had to wait outside for some to show up to do so. Same problem with check out day - you lose you ability to access the building so although you can leave your bags, you are locked out of the...

"We had a wonderful stay during an April weekend. The staff are outstanding. Linda at reception and Sonia in hospitality are so helpful and welcoming. We had a room with a comfy King Size bed and room for a third person on the sleeper couch. The bathroom is big. The property is perfectly decorated. The room has a coffee maker, and tea kettle and cookies. There is a cozy relaxation room on the second floor with the same amenities to enjoy a hot drink and cookies. It was pre air-conditioning season...

"Best hotel I’ve ever been to, the view itself of the Grand Canal was nothing short of Spectacular! The staff were more than helpful with anything we needed from reservations to high-end restaurants, to late night drinks, and even scheduling of the local water taxi to the nearby airport. The property also includes a secluded backyard seated garden area/restaurant where you can lounge and spend the night. If I could rate this property 6 stars I would. Definitely looking forward to returning here...
