The floors in this aging building transmit every footstep from above, making sleep virtually impossible. When we requested a room change, the front desk assured us the upstairs guests had checked out — only for a new guest to check in late that night, and the noise problem repeated itself. The issue is clearly structural, not behavioral, which makes the front desk's dismissal even more frustrating. On top of that, we discovered the ice machine filter had not been changed in two years. That is a basic maintenance and hygiene issue that should never be overlooked. The bottom line: this property is significantly overdue for a renovation. The infrastructure is aging, maintenance is being neglected, and guest concerns are not being taken seriously. If you must stay here, insist on a second-floor room — it is the only way to avoid the noise issue. As for us, we will not be returning."
