"We were staying at Q8 for The Great South Run and the staff at Q8 could not have been more helpful! I emailed in advance to see if there would be a fridge available to keep our breakfast to have before the run and they responded within an hour to confirm they would sort this for us and we could use the fridge in the lounge area. On the day of the run the weather was awful so we asked if there was anyone coming into our room and if not whether we could pop back for a shower after the run before...

"The hotel room was very clean and comfortable, the reception staff were excellent and the hotel was in a very good location for access on foot to the historic docks and Gunwharf Quays. Did not eat at hotel or use the bar so cannot comment on these facilities. If you are able to utilise one of the hotel's free parking bays which we did, this is another asset of the hotel."

"Staff are always very friendly and it is ideally situated with a great view of the sea. Shops are nearby as well as close location to sites. Every time I come down to the area I stay here due to suitability for my needs and also parking availability "

"Gorgeous hotel with lovely, polite & enthusiastic staff! We were upgraded to a fabulous suite & the parking options were great. We loved this unique boutique hotel which has been decorated & designed with care & passion. Local transport was brilliant & Southsea is a hidden blossoming gem which we’ll be back to see next year! We will of course be checking back in to the Clarence or one of its sisters. Thank you for making our stay so memorable x"

"I absolutely loved my stay at Lady Hamilton! I was in town for the historic dockyard and was thrilled to find a room in a historic pub! They were were helpful with my check in time (which was out of normal hours due to a delayed flight etc etc). The room was very spacious and The bed was comfortable. Even better my room had a view of the HMS Warrior! You’re also very close to many great pubs and a short walk from the main dining/shopping areas. I would definitely stay here again, and would...
