"There were two restaurants near one Greek and one Latin American we tried the latter and it was good, the Greek one was closed Monday. Staff were welcoming, small family run hotel so personal. Nice bar area. Breakfast was included (continental) but they did offer boiled eggs or bacon bap or sausage bap in the morning."

"Heerlijk verbleven daar tijdens ons 4dgs bezoek aan FOS Goodwood. Fijne mensen die het runnen. Parkeren deden we in de omgeving en was af en toe een uitdaging een plekkie te vinden, maar met vergunning wel gratis. Ondanks warme weer, zonder airco, met fan prima koel op onze kamer."

"The biggest issue was : no Air Conditioning. Very hot room and corridors. Other issues were small, but added up: Kids playing in reception/compass/entrance, shower door wrong way around, shower not draining, bar staff not always available, one lift not working - little things that could easily improve with care and attention, which you would expect at a good hotel."

"The bedding and towels were lovely and clean, couldn't fault. The shower tray left a lot to be desired, along with the shower mat and windowsill. There was no way of opening/closing the windows as they were too high. The same with the curtains. A long bamboo rod attached to the top could help with opening/closing? Staff? Hardley saw a soul in the 4 days I was there. The breakfast was sufficient for what I needed."

"The hotel was great the air conditioning could not cool the room off enough for our liking during the heat dome we experienced. The breakfast was very nice the restaurant was imho over priced for what you got and the younger staff could have smiled and been a little friendlier."

"Basically I booked this for its location and price. Was very grateful to find we had been upgraded to a family room in the basement. Sadly though other residents weren’t as thoughtful and kept us awake till nearly 3 in the morning, slamming doors and talking loudly outside our window and in hallway. Also room was stiflingly hot. There was a fan but it didn’t reduce heat. Can’t fault how polite and helpful staff were with booking."

"The hotel is not inspiring on the outside but is well situated for trains, buses and travel to the Isle of Wight. It has the feel of a run-down hotel which is in the process of being up-graded by the present owners. "Overall reasonably good. Room was fine, but the air conditioning didn't work (a problem in a number of rooms that weekend). Check-in was very slow, said to be because of a new computer system. Quiet, sea view (it was 5th floor and extra). Also, and as with a previous room, the shower drained very slowly and the outlet was pretty bunged up with hair (don't look!).
