Great local area knowledge. Very clean room-people above me the first night were noisy but I could sleep. Amazing bathroom-loved the shower. "Cant beat the location. Just next to York Minster and tons of restaurants. Walking distance to the Shambles and almost everything. The only issue that actually makes our stay not comfortable is that the hotel does not have Air conditioner. We were there during heat wave and this make the stay in the room really unbearable. The temperature in the room was so much higher than the outside. The staff was nice and try to give us 2 fans and a bucket of ice. Still felt very hot. The breakfast was set...
"Just a one night away trip with a couple of days coastal walking. Very smart pub with rooms. In a superior room with high quality fixtures and fittings, very comfortable. Staff all very friendly with an excellent dinner menu and very good breakfast. Only minor issue was how quick dinner service was - would have preferred to have spent longer over our meal. Starter arrived very quickly and the main arrived before we had even finished our starter ! As I say however a minor issue in the overall...
