"Very friendly front of house staff. Hotel and spa a little rundown. Hot stone massage was amazing. The hotel do a lunch/bar menu that consist of sandwiches and baguettes from 12 till 5 everyday. However the biggest let down was that the chef had " closed the kitchen" because he wasn't prepared for valentine's day dinners and refused to make me something. I was there on a two night stay so lunch was something I definitely needed. I had to complain a lot and it took The front of house manager a lot to persuade the chef to make me something, but all he would offer was a very basic egg sandwich. This was very disappointing. "

"The bed was comfortable, I enjoyed the pub on the Wednesday night, and breakfast on the first morning was excellent. Unfortunately though... The pub isn't open Monday & Tuesday so I was unable to get an evening meal on the first night There was no breakfast provided on the second morning. I stood around in the breakfast area for 20 minutes (at the same time as I had breakfast the first morning), rang the service bell several times, but there was no one there. I had to go to work without breakfast. The WiFi doesn't reach the rooms The TV had no signal The blind did not work The room was so small you can't open the wardrobe door fully Only 3 coat hangers in wardrobe. The shower is not effective, water just dribbles out. "

"The staff were friendly and helpful .The air con was not working in my room so it was cold i did get given a plug in radiator which helped slightly but it was still cold, not the best when its cold outside!"

"Absolute belter for the price. Great pub and awesome staff. Food was great too... Proper English country pub BnB experience. It's old, so has it's quirks, but for me, that's part of its charm! Will be back"

"Enjoyed our stay at the elephant, good size room, nice tea, coffee , etc in room. Huge bed was very comfortable, en suite facilities were clean & well stocked. Staff friendly & I felt weak looked after. Breakfast I thought was excellent. Managed to park in the public car park next door at a very reasonable cost as elephant one was full.."

"Overall enjoyable stay. Staff friendly and supportive. Parking easy. Room overall comfortable - radiator and heater helped warm the room. Shower needs removal of mould and descaling of shower head. Preordering breakfast worked fine and the omelette was very enjoyable. Dinner was good. Sharing starter good as was the beef stew and Bull burger. Crumble nice. Enjoyable drinks in the bar."
