Terrible experience from Hotels.com

Terrible, we were already travelling down to London when after 3 emails & phone calls I was informed our apartment building was closed due to BED BUGS!!! Absolutely ruined our 3 night break as we were offered a far inferior apartment way away from our friends apartment in Fitrovia. I felt obliged to accept the offered accomodation otherwise I may have had no where to stay!! Absolutely terrible service from Hotels.com. Apartment was small, 1 small bed, tiny kitchen, not enough sockets, plug sockets sparked fusing all the sockets, altogether a terrible experience!!

The apartment is quite spacious and the kitchen and bathroom are almost new. There is a Tesco Express less than a 5-minute walk away and a nice cafe for coffees. Only a 10-minute walk to Oxford Circus. The apartment is let down by quite shabby furniture, in fact the sofa-bed was all but unusable. Also the lift is out of order as was the wifi when we stayed. Footstep noise from the apartment above is also quite loud. Having said that, it is in a lovely and very handy area and some new furniture would give this unit at least 4 stars.

I liked how bright the apartment was. It was close to the subway and it was walkable. I didn't like that the elevator doesn't work, and apparently it won't be fixed. So it's impossible to be there if you're a person with mobility disabilities. Unfortunately, they don't give information about how many floors the building has, so you won't know how difficult it will be for you to access your unit.

Zuerst muss ich klarstellen, dass wir nicht in Fitzrovia by Capital übernachtet bzw. unsere Ferien dort gemacht haben. Dieses Hotel stand uns, aus irgendwelchen Gründen plötzlich nicht mehr zur Verfügung. Die Bewertung bezieht dich also nicht auf dieses Hotel, sondern auf das anderen, welches uns zu Verfügung gestellt wurden.

This was a good property for the price point. The unit was located in a really great spot, a close walk to many major sightseeing spots. There were a few downsides. The pullout sofa bed was awful, bent in the middle, creaky, and uncomfortable. The unit was advertised as having a washer and dryer, but only had a washer… our clothes are current hanging out to dry at our next hotel. The lock on the bathroom window was broken and we couldn’t lock it (safety concern). The furniture was worn and peeling. Overall, for the price point it is worth the money.

The property is located in a great area and walkable to a lot. We had to relocate to a hotel after a few nights because of a bed bug issue. We had been assured by property management that the issue had been resolved and we didn't cancel our stay but clearly the issue has not been resolved despite their efforts!

Awesome location close to metro and major shopping areas. Multiple restaurants nearby. The apartment was clean. The stairs leading to the apartment have been through a lot and need some work.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS ! We are 5 families with kids. We have 5 apartments in Fitzrovia by capital. We came to London for 8 nights. We’ve done the reservation 3 months before and i wrote a message that we are with kids don’t cancel it. They cancelled only mine reservation just one day before. İ was shocked!!! We were 4 people with a kid. İ called and they changed my aparment. It was apartment 8. And i was paid for it. But i stayed apartment 1. It was under the building. We could not see anything. They opened a opening sofa it was awful. Really hard to sleep. 8 nights with nightmares. And of course BEDBUGS. İ asked them about bed bugs. They said there is no bedbugs they sprayed. But in my friends apatment it was bed bugs. In apartment 5. My friend went a different hotel. It was really hard for her with a kid. And now she is in contact with fitzrovia by capital to get her money back. İt is hard to get contact with them. The only good thing i can say is : location and cleanliness

Terrible

Booked and paid 3 minths ago thé property is cancelled thé evening before takung the plane. A unique solution is offered that we are forced to accept in a flat with windows not closing properly over a night club. Thé most dreadful experience one can imagine.
