When I arrived I couldn't get hold of the owner as he wasn't answering his phone and didn't have the curtesy to reply to the several messages I left, both in the form of answer phone and text. I had to contact Hotels.com via the online chat. Eventually one of the owners employees phoned me and said he would come and let me in. Once in the property, things didn't really improve. "Very dated and tired furnishings. Strange skylight in the bathroom which was full of cobwebs and dead moths. One of the drawers still had the previous occupant's belongings in. Lock on the bedroom door was very loose and temperamental. Staff seemed friendly. Hotel location was very convenient and we had a good night's sleep."
