"To start with, no check in information was sent to me before I arrived. When I arrived I couldn't get hold of the owner as he wasn't answering his phone and didn't have the curtesy to reply to the several messages I left, both in the form of answer phone and text. I had to contact Hotels.com via the online chat. Eventually one of the owners employees phoned me and said he would come and let me in. Once in the property, things didn't really improve. "Wrong bed! I booked a queen bed and it was 2 singles. No staff present, car park barrier locked us in, no one answered the phone or replied on email. Thankfully another disgruntled customer had the barrier exit code and I tailgated out. I decided to find another hotel nearby- this place is RANK"

Stayed on the ground floor and could hear what sounded like a herd of elephants above us for hours on end (it turned out to be human children) The floors are obviously very thin and not soundproof. Breakfast was great. Grounds were lovely. And the Heathley Arms Pub across the car park was wonderful for lunch and dinner options. "
