"The hotel is very well situated in the walled city of Lucca. Everything nearby is walkable from the hotel with tons of food/bars and even the train station, where trains will take you to Florence and many other destinations.
The staff at the hotel will always welcome with a smile and ask about your day! Those that don't speak English, are quick to utilize a translating app on their phones to maintain communication. Excellent experience and will return for a second vacation!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel San Marco. Pietro was kind and knowledgeable and the staff at breakfast were also extremely nice and fast to respond. Breakfasts were fine and the room was very comfortable. The bar came in handy as well. Here are the only negatives: no facial tissues (not a huge deal but it was just a bit strange. So here's the only REAL problem: the cleaning staff were EXTREMELY loud starting at 8 AM in the hallway outside our room. Loud talking, laughing, banging stuff,...

"Beautiful converted hotel constructed in the 1700’s. Modern amenities. Like an elevator. Room had spa batch and separate shower. Breakfast had sweets and fresh fruits along with cheeses and assorted meats. No eggs. Room was comfortable. Most important is its location in the middle of Centro storico. Parking was a few steps away. "

"Great place to stay just inside the walls of wonderful Lucca with good access to everything and close to the train station if you need to be (which we did). "The hotel is inside the city walls. Upon arrival by car, get instructions from the front desk before you venture beyond the city gates. The hotel is old but very comfortable, clean, and efficient. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is limited, so confirm a space when reserving. The bonus is you cannot get any more centrally located. I would stay here again, for sure."
