"This is a perfect location for going to see shows. Can walk easily to a lot of theaters. Would even book again to just see shows. Checking in went smoothly but would have loved a little more guidance, elevator was a little tricky and I couldn’t hear the girl behind the counter because she was so soft spoken. It honestly would’ve been great to have been given a map of Times Square or told where the closest subway entrance was. The room was very clean. The breakfast was amazing even at the tail end the food was warm and nothing was out. We went down at 9:30/9:45 and it closed at 10:00 and we were welcomed. Not pushed out. They were very appropriately staffed for the morning and they worked like a royal Caribbean dining room staff. Tables were cleared and cleaned off immediately. Even with some construction of the lobby it did not get in the way of our stay."

"Brought my daughter to NYC for the first time for her 14th birthday. Saw 3 shows and felt very safe with the Marquis as our home base. The room was very spacious and had a great view. Room service credit didn’t go very far but it was fine - we enjoyed a little snack before our evening shows each night."

"It's an older hotel that has been maintained well. The room was clean and nice size. Perfect location. I would stay again. 2 cons- no coffee or water in rooms or reception. 2- I couldn't get hot water in the shower."

"We have been coming to the New Yorker for many years. Older hotel that's bones have some character. Some of the cheaper rooms are small. Staff is always accommodating, and location can't be beat."

"Our stay in New York was amazing! The hotel location is incredible and made it very easy to explore the city. The hotel itself is very good, super clean and organized, and we felt very comfortable during our stay. We loved everything! As a suggestion, it would be great if they had a minibar in the room, as it would make the experience even better. Other than that, everything was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again!"

"For a hotel at this level there should be coffee and tea in the room or free coffee stations in the lobby. To expect guest to pay for tea or coffee is not commendable."
