"Hotel was very clean,staff very helpful. Breakfast was ok but the quality of cooked food could have been better. We went for a wedding which was lovely. We didn't use the spa or pool as only there for one night. It was the hottest day of the year and in the parts that were air conditioned it was ok but the actual wedding was outside in the garden and there was no shade for the quests we were all melting and got sun burnt so would advise if its the reason for your visit take hats or umbrella. "Stayed at this hotel many times in advance of travelling to France and I’ve never had a TV that worked. Otherwise you get what you expect. The rooms are clean and spacious and the free breakfast fills a gap (especially nice bacon)."

"I appreciated a clean room, sheets etc. which were really the most important for me. One member of staff on reception was quick, efficent and aimiable. Another was surly and unappreciative. The bar closed early, which did not bother me; but the only food on the menu was pizza, not a favourite. I did not have breakfast."

"We booked to stay 2 nights, arrived on Friday which was a heatwave day and was told we would get a fan in our room. When there was no fan in the room, we were told they are all allocated out! When questioned the staff, we got attitude and the response was- fine, you can have my fan, I won't have one! The same night it was thunder and lightning so we left the doors open in our room, 3am we got around 30 - 40 wasps fly into our room landing on us! It was horrific. "Lovely hotel, restaurant, bar, in an excellent location for shopping etc in Rye. Very good value for money. There is no free car parking but the pay & display/RINGO is immediately next door and less than a tenner a day. We can highly recommend this hotel."

"Room cleaned but had very old smell. Construction sound outside (they can't help it but just be aware) I plugged in my laptop and it blew the fuse in the room. Parking is pricy as is the restaurant but still nice to have. Staff, fantastic - no notes."

"We had the most wonderful stay. Our room was beautiful and the big bath was a perfect treat! Also , the bed and pillows were super comfortable. Meals were delicious and the staff were courteous and friendly. We are already planning a longer stay in this really lovely hotel."
