"Was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was a little in need of a fresh coat of paint, however the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, with a great menu. Asking for dietary options no trouble at all. The room was clean and tastefully decorated, and even in the hot weather I got an excellent nights sleep, thanks to a thoughtfully provided fan in the room. The shower had excellent water pressure and all together I had a lovely experience there and...

Neither we nor the hotel manager could shut them off. One single fan provided little/no relief and room temp was + 30c degrees and never got to a comfortable temp overnight. "The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced. We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel. We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm."

"Extremely friendly and courteous staff, in particular the lady who checked us in and the breakfast team. The hotel is being systematically renovated and the public areas are of a high standard. Our room was clean and well maintained and whilst the bathroom was clean and functional it would have benefited from being renovated. That said, there was nothing seriously wrong with it.
