"Booked this motel to save $ for a quick stay on our way to OBX. You get what you pay for. Got checked in quickly & pulled up right in front of our room. First floor & king bed was going to be great! Wrong! First, our keys wouldn’t open the door, then we realized looking in the window that the bed looked slept in already. We knocked & no one came. Back to front desk we went. Was told the only other thing available was a double on the 2nd floor, even though the room next door to our original room was empty and we could see the bed wasn’t slept in and no luggage inside. We took the double. Walked to it first to make sure it was going to be ok. First we came upon someone lighting a joint in the second floor breezeway. At least that’s all it was, I was thinking if it looked like something else we were out of there! Luckily our room was quite a ways from that guy. Try our key & again it did not work! Headed back to the front, then realized we didn’t try the other key. Luckily it worked! Got in & room was fairly clean, beds made properly. By another breezeway and people out there smoking, plus could smell the marijuana also. This was all being pulled in through the window AC. This is an old motel, not kept in great condition, but isn’t the worst I’ve ever stayed in. Definitely going to have to start spending more to get a decent place to stay. Showed up early for breakfast, so we left. Bed linens stained, but clean. Towels stained & thin, but clean. Slept good, smoke smell went away"

"I loved this hotel. Nothing fancy but the vibe is low key and casual… loved the oceanfront location and balcony on each room. The area behind the hotel is so cool, sandy area with tables overlooking the beach as well as a pool and tiki bar. The restaurant is very good, biscuits were homemade and best I’ve had. The staff was so helpful and pleasant. Nice beach chairs and umbrellas. The a/c is cool and bed very comfy!"

"This is my new favorite spot in Beaufort - I beg you not to sleep on this place! It’s 10/10 all the way around! I want to gatekeep it for the breakfast, vibes, and room. But alas, it’s a whole 5 stars and then some in every avenue!"
