"Staff were very welcoming and very polite. Our room was very good and very clean. Only complaint was with the air conditioning which we did not have on, but it still made a noise in the early hours which woke me up. Only other minor issue was the inability on Thursday evening to get a meal in the Martello Bar which was crowded with men attending a function."

"When we arrived, there was a mixup with the booking but they handled it really well. They gave us a room that we hadn’t booked which was fantastic. We then moved the next day into another lovely room. They bent over backwards and they couldn’t do enough for us it made my stay and my partners stay whose birthday it was on the Monday an absolutely fantastic time and may I just say thanks to Sam and the team for looking after us and making us so welcome. "Nice bar and restaurant area - near to Folkestone and exit to channel tunnel so all good - local garages, Tesco’s M&S garage shop McD’ all in close Proximity. Rooms are clean and basic but with just what you need. Great to have food available on site plus the free Breakfast is perfect to set you on your way. Staff are willing to help with any needs - that are possible. Only gripe would be having to pay for car parking. So ideal place to stay if need to be near Folkestone and the Channel...

"Great location, but reception staff leave alot to be desired, I found them very condescending. Breakfast was average. Bedrooms were very stuffy as there wasnt any air conditioning, despite our room being a premier one. I wouldn't stay there again"

"We only stayed for one night but I can not fault any of the facilities, staff, cleanliness, not forgetting the brilliant breakfast. Only praise for everything."

"Room cleaned but had very old smell. Construction sound outside (they can't help it but just be aware) I plugged in my laptop and it blew the fuse in the room. Parking is pricy as is the restaurant but still nice to have. Staff, fantastic - no notes."

"This is a charming guesthouse in a very walkable location, near the Dover Castle, numerous pubs and restaurants. Alex the owner is super helpful and gracious. The kitchen was well-stocked with many breakfast items and there were a few good cafes nearby for a nice latte or flat white. Upon our departure, Alex arranged a taxi to take us to the cruise port which was very helpful. The room we stayed in had a comfortable bed and a lot of personality. If I find myself in Dover again, I will gladly...

"The food at the hotel was very good and excellent value. The bar was a bit dingy and old fashioned. The weather was hot but the hotel provided good fans. There was plenty of hot water and a very comfortable bed. Overall it was good value and we enjoyed our stay."
