"The manager of the hotel was amazing . He treated us like his personal guests . He took extra care to sort the parking . The breakfast and restaurant staff were equally good . Made our trip to Southampton memorable . Thank you "
"I won't be staying here again. It's a terrible value for the money. There are too many other options for something to be this bad and expensive.
While the host was responsive, I arrived to a dirty home without running water nor toilet paper. Luckily, the water was easy to turn on with some instruction from the host, and I had already planned to go to the store shortly after arrival. At least all the codes worked.
However, there were a few other issues with the place.
- Building stinks like mildew.
- the photos make the place look much nicer than it was.
- neighbors were noisy. Thin walls most likely.
- Hair and dust bunnies everywhere from bedrooms to bathroom. No vacuum.
- zero closet space.
- kitchen is barely useable with pans and containers, etc
- tv isn't smart. Totally useless for a traveler. Had to have been from pre-2005.
- the beds... in general are all broken, saggy, old, and too soft. Not nice soft, but floppy to where the springs stab you in the back. I almost slept on the couch, despite the huge stain on it.
- the large bed was actually two twins with a big blanket. One super slouchy and busted, the other extra springy. Couldn't even make it through one night on it/them.
- the bathroom fan was not functioning and no windows in there so once again the stench of mildew was common, but at least not visible.
In summary, I was very disappointed. I'm glad I was alone as I would have been embarrassed to bring my family in."
