The staff was great. The room was clean. It is an older hotel and if you are looking for an upscale establishment this is not it. Move on and do not leave a bad review. The staff works hard. We loved the location, dialed in the metrorail and had a great time. We will be back.

The air conditioning was not quite right - too cold, and not able to control it properly, so turned it off for the most part. Cleanliness was fine and the location is convenient.

Price is what saved it. The room was clean, no complaints. The staff outside of cleaning, I feel they could have been more charming and not so basic. The view outside the window was terrible, but the view of the pool when I opened my door was beautiful. It is very reasonable I will just say the location is just a bit inconvenient compared to others. Also you have to deal with what looked like some vagrants and such outside, perhaps there should be additional investment into better security. Or more security. Overall I could feel at the front desk a difference in customer service vs other hotels. No one was particularly bad. To their credit. 3 star hotel given everything. 4 stars requires either ideal location or superior amenities.

This is a good price hotel with a good location. There are several restaurant options around, public transportation and shopping areas. However, the building is old and once in awhile tge elevator was under maintanance.

The exterior and lobby and cleanliness was fine. The bathrooms are in need of upgrading. All the room metal doors and casings were chipped and scraped.

Not bad

the place is a little old and run down, but not terrible and the rooms are OK, and reasonable for the price considering this is the Miami area. The location is quite good especially being walking distance to the train, and there are things to do in the vicinity. The pool area is a little claustrophobic being surrounded by walls and building, but the pool itself is nice. The staff look stressed and the guests were of all sorts - some not so savory! Nice little Turkish restaurant around the corner

This property is in dire need of rehab. I’ve been coming to this hotel twice a year for at least four years, due to its location. They’ve done absolutely nothing to the rooms since I started, and even though they say no smoking everywhere, every single room has Cigarette scars on all the furniture.

Having just had recent surgery nearby, I spent most of my time in the (comfortable) bed recuperating. But the pool looked very inviting and clean! My caretaker loved the nearby metro station and many dining opportunities within convenient walking distance. The hotel lobby is clean and inviting, check in staff quick & helpful. The rooms are a tad aged but quite adequate. Clean bathroom, clean rooms. I recommend this place.

Location of the hotel looked good, and safe. Though, facility condition could be improved. Mattress is a bit too soft! Shower head, looked a bit corroded. The interior room where we stayed, room needed some air venting. Thank you!

Dirty, very old room. Air conditioning was super loud. Two lamps in room that neither worked. Very hard bed. Can't even flush toilet paper in the toilet. Check in was inconvenient as no where to park but down the street.

The staff was polite and courteous pool was nice and beds were soft and comfortable, what i didn't like was no coffee maker in the rooms, there was only local tv not much by way of cable, no hotel shuttle services totally dependent on uber , and there was hidden fee's, 2.50 a night plus a 100.00 room deposit thats refunded upon checking out, nothing in the brochure about that.

The room was clean, the AC ran constantly until I turned the thermostat to below 60. All of the furniture was old and worn like the thermostat. Not worth anywhere near what I paid.

First thought no Hot Water. 1st morning Took cold shower. Got a little warm towards the end. Sooo next morning ran water for 20 minutes , hence not eco friendly. Next 1st night AC fan sounded like a dryer fill with bolts. Let front desk know. Got to room that night NO AC ! Turns out service guy did not turn disconnect after servicing. Easy fix but now thermostat does nothing had to turn off at 03:00 due to frost bite. Another non eco friendly issue. I will say this If you have a loved one at South Miami Baptist. Great location.
