"Clean and quiet. Good value for money"

"Room was lovely and comfy. Very clean wth en-suite, shower with amenities, towels body/shower gel, conditioner, hand cream and soap. Comfy double bed, the room had a coffee machine, kettle, fan and hairdryer. 32 inch TV suitable for room size. Complimentary breakfast more of a continental style but not fully. Teas, coffees, cereals, fruit, small selection of juices and toaster and microwave. Host was on hand to make hot drinks and toast, very hospitable and friendly. Guest are welcome to help...

"Parking was not great, and no r expensive than advised. Note parking is by a 3rd party close to the hotel"

"Room was lovely & clean, had a twin room & both beds were small doubles. Breakfast was lovely, fresh & plentiful. Staff were quick to clear the dishes & clean the tables for guests. Would use this hotel again."

"Fantastic hotel. Staff are really friendly. They treated our daughter to a chocolate bar for her birthday. The pantry of treats for guests is fantastic too. The rooms are lovely. The food is great. A great atmosphere. We will be back. "

"Hotel in historic York city centre with shops on all sides. Generally clean. Rooms and dining room quirky and charming. Dogs welcome. "

"The room was meant to be soundproof but could hear next door for starters, then we seen it wasn’t a king size bed but two single beds put together which wasn’t very comfortable to say the least. Also two of the rooms I’d say are used for permanent residence. Then passing pedestrians through the night was noisy was irritating to say the least. We couldn’t work the heating system for the room. "

"We stayed at the Apple House for 2 nights and had the best stay. The hosts Daniell & Taquin are very friendly and helpful with everything. The breakfast was freshly prepared and also had fruits and cereal bar as well. We had to order breakfast a day before and our table number was our room number. The rooms had coffee/tea facilities, snacks and toiletries and were replaced everyday. We got takeaway for dinner and were provided with plates and cutlery and allowed to use microwave and eat in...
