"My wife and I stayed for several nights in April. The old church turned convent turned hotel is lovely and very well located in Old San Juan just off a small square with a fountain. Cobblestone street leads past a large cathedral and many shops, ending at a park and old arched wall. It is historic. Office staff were helpful and friendly, making change for a large bill with no trouble and recommending a local restaurant that was excellent. "We arrived later than planned after travel delays, so did not get to take full advantage of our stay, but we still enjoyed it! The room was well furnished, had great AC and was dark, perfect for a restful sleep after a travel day. The windows were high up on the wall; this worked for us as we mostly were sleeping but I could see this not meeting some expectations. "Staff was so incredibly kind and helpful. Gave a map of viejo San Juan to see what’s nearby. Hotel is in such a convenient area to explore. The Photo Booth and place to buy drinks & stuff downstairs was also very convenient!"

"Beautiful historic hotel built in 1530’s. Safe with locked front door, kitchen amenities, and you have the gorgeous streets of Viejo San Juan right when you step outside. Everything is in walking distance. Loved it! "

"Excellent location, great walking distance to old and new San Juan and several beaches. Staff very friendly and helpful with excellent suggestions for food and outings. Connivence store, bakery, bars and restaurants nearby. We would have enjoyed our time more and would come back if it weren’t for the intermittent water outages. Overall an excellent experience in which we were able to enjoy our time in the private courtyard and pool area which was quiet and cozy."
