"This is the perfect place for an authentic Japanese experience. The staff are wonderful and the meals are superb. Tranquil surroundings with a 5 star multi-course meals each day for breakfast and dinner. The sauna and hot baths were great for winding down after a day of touring. Touring was easy because bus lines and train lines are nearby. We were sorry to leave the Tea House and really hope to return some day. "

"We chose Shiki Homes Aki as our Kyoto base because we like to cook for ourselves and relax in the evening, while still having access to local sights and the public transport system. Shiki Homes Aki provided a well maintained, comfortable base in easy reach of buses and the subway. The Imperial Palace Gardens, the Nishijin textile area and Nijo Castle were all short walks from the house and city buses took us to other shrines, temples and shopping areas.
