"This is 100% the best place to stay at of you want to have the most authentic Nara Deer experience. When my partner and I were arriving late to check in the clerk stayed an extra 30 min waiting for us. She is a hero!🙏 The place is 30 min from the downtown area so do order or buy food for dinner as you wont find anything nearby, but its 100% worth it because of the location and the staff! Thank you so much for having us and being great hosts!"

Since people are coming to experience a true Japanese style of living, be sure to attend the morning prayer service, and the fire ritual. They cost nothing to attend and give a wonderful insight into the culture of Japanese people and Buddhism in particular."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Note it looks like a small takeout restaurant when you look in the door, but there is a wooden sign out front that says guesthouse in small letters. Each floor is a separate room. Good WiFi. Many small paid parking lots within a block of the property. Many restaurants nearby. "

"The room was so spacious and clean. The staff was extremely kind and friendly, which made my stay that much more enjoyable. They took time to talk with us and give us a few recommendations for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. When I come back to Kyoto, I will make sure to stay here every single time. "
