"What an awesome hotel, everyone was friendly. No air conditiioning, but we survived well. Don't think that if you are from the states, you should rent a car. There are plenty of options for transportation vendors, the hotel will provide you the contacts. Beautiful part of the world."

"Arriving in the charming village and then pulling up to Buckland Manor was a dream! Every detail has been seen to with lovely staff, well furnished rooms, gorgeous peaceful grounds. We could pop on many walking paths right from the door and roam the countryside. One wouldn't need to leave this property for days with every need met beautifully. Exquisite!"

Tip- let travellers know that there is no internet access in the village, so to access the codes to allow entry meant going into a hotel and asking to use their WiFi. However, as the room was located on the top floor, it might be challenging for guests who are not very steady on their feet. Large suitcases also had to be carried up by myself, as the staff were not able to assist. "Queens is a lovely hotel, we used to stay at 131 but got fed up with the noise from below. Old school traditional hotel ideal location for town. As far as we are concerned it ticks all the boxes.
