"This is a beautifully situated old mill on a gentle stream with gorgeous grounds. Idyllic. Just outside Lymington but a short 8 minute drive into town or to the ferry. Dinner was good with excellent service. Nice room, comfy beds, good bathroom. We were there on the hottest day of the year so it was very hot in the room but a fan was provided which helped."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Walhampton Arms. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient with assisting in our requests. This is a great place to stay to experience the local town. You get the perks that come with staying in a hotel balanced with the “mom and pop” feel associated with B&Bs. We will be looking to stay at their sister locations for our next city break! "

"The location of the hotel was perfect with views of the harbour and the lymington sea water baths are in walking distance . The hotel has free parking ,staff are friendly and helpfull. Our room was very clean and of a high standard . There was a good selection for breakfast to suit all tastes. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Mayflower hotel."

"Absolutely lovely oasis of tranquility in the New Forest. We took our small dog and everything was catered for from bowls and towels in the room to a washing station and poo bags. Staff were amazing, busy but always helpful and chatty. Food was top notch, as were the cocktails and a lovely breakfast. Can’t fault it, oh and there was air con in the room……. Thank god!"

Breakfast not as good as it used to be with only buffet option , should re- introduce the no charge al a carte menu for those who don’t enjoy buffet. "Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. "Good atmosphere and history (Titanic connections). Restaurant yummy. Rate hotel down just a bit due to a towel warmer in bathroom which made entire bedroom warm, so had to crank down AC. Mattress not great. Woke up with stiff back. Also rate down when asking front desk about a shuttle bus which might take us to our cruise ship, was met with a response of “I have no idea; I’ve never been on a cruise.”"

"Really friendly staff & very clean everywhere which was great. House keeping staff were lovely & very helpful. Quite easily the cleanest place we have stayed in. Possibly some of the rooms were more style than substance as not practical in places. Some maintenance issues regarding loose tap in Room 3 .
