"The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful. Dining in all three restaurants was superb. We would definitely go back. The Falconry experience was amazing. Just be aware it is not run by the hotel but it is on or adjacent to the grounds. A two minute walk from the lobby."

"Fake tan stains were in the bath from previous guest. Hot water took almost 10mins to come on. Outdoor had a few broken planters and weeds coming through the floor. Kitchen was closed for maintenance so there was no food options until breakfast the next day. I could hear people going in and out their rooms until about 2am and then starting again at 6am. I have stayed previously and was impressed but this time just felt like lack of care was given."

"Room was kept clean, as was the rest of the building. Access to the restaurant and bar was great. The hotel itself was also nearby lots of other places that was nice for our stay, such as other restaurants, the bus stop, grocery store and the beach. It was a nice place to stay away from the busyness of Edinburgh, but still access the city through a 20-30 minute but ride. Only negative was the mattress wasn't in amazing condition"

"Everything was clean. I loved my room. It’s not the most updated place in the world, but it had its own charm. It’s warm and inviting. The staff was great, and had good suggestions for tours. It’s kind of a pain not having anything nearby. No convenience stores or coffee shops. You have to take a train or Uber. I tried the connected restaurant twice and did not care for it. It’ll do though with nothing else around. Overall, it was a good value and I felt safe and comfortable"

"The Abbey Residence has a rooming house feel. We had a spacious room with large but dated ensuite. The walls could use a lick of paint, but there were no real issues with the room. Wifi was good and our room had a good sized Roku based smart TV with lots of streaming options. "We had a wonderful stay at destiny student burnet point! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel at ease. The room was completely spotless and the kitchen had great facilities and was very well maintained. It felt very safe as two young female travellers and was a great location for exploring the city especially having great access to Arthur’s seat. Would very much recommend this property and we will be back!!"
