"Two live wasps were in the room. Owner offered a downgraded room that had toilet outside the room. We had paid for en suite so we refused his offer and he agreed to refund us the money we had paid. I’ve had to message the owner few times to take care of the refund but I haven’t had any update. I now have to deal with the hassle of reporting the matter to the platform to get my money back. This is a headache I could have done without so I could enjoy my holiday. "

"エディンバラを朝から晩まで楽しみたい方にはおすすめしませんが、観光客で溢れたエディンバラを脱出して郊外で特別な宿泊体験をしたい方にはおすすめです。お城の塔の寝室、大広間、屋根上が貸切です。お姫様というよりは砦の城主の気分を味わえます。車で行く方が多いようですが、私たちは最寄りのWallyford駅（エディンバラから2駅）から歩きました。遊歩道を30-40分ほど歩くと着きます。夕食は済ませるか、調達してから行く必要があります。朝食は部屋に準備してあり、好きなものを選んで食べられます。オーナーご夫妻が気さくでとても良い方々でした。おすすめです。"

"The hotel is in a lovely building, but the decor in our room was odd and dated - it needed a bit of tlc and updating in our opinion. Lovely views of the city and beyond. We wish the blinds/curtains had been black out, as it got quite light in the morning. The big light in our room flickered a lot, so we couldn’t use it. Free parking was great. The room was cleaned each day and had basic amenities - kettle with tea and coffee, ironing board and a safe in the wardrobe."

"Great place. Staff professional and courteous. Hotel in great location with easy walkability to all things you need to do in Edinburgh. Managed to park outside to unload and load bags but it can get busy on the street. Parking was at a ramp 5 mins walk away. Room on 4th floor looking over waverley station. Very quiet. Complimentary bar great feature and drinks replaced each day. Wife loved the Dyson hair dryer/straightener so now we need to buy one. Shower was awesome. "

"Room was good, and I appreciated the small touches. However, the self check-in was a horrible experience. I was unable to check in because my room hadn’t been marked as ready in the system, and I couldn’t contact anyone on WhatsApp or Expedia. I could only resolve the issue and check in after forty minutes when another guest had the same issue, but could contact the host via a competing provider (rhymes with “looking bot from”)."
