"Room was right across the hall from the pool so it was incredibly humid, smells strongly of chlorine, and the wallpaper is peeling off the walls. The pool was so heavy on the chemicals that it was a cloudy colour. The breakfast was also very lack luster. But I will say it was very clean and the staff were very nice. "

"My recent stay at The Oakes Hotel fell far below acceptable standards due to several significant issues with room accuracy, maintenance, and basic safety. Severe Safety Hazard: The most alarming issue was finding a sewing needle left in the bed. This is a serious oversight and a major safety risk for guests. Inaccurate Room Description: The room was advertised as having two separate rooms, but it lacked a privacy door and only featured an open hallway. This did not match the booking description and offered zero privacy. Plumbing Failures: The bathroom toilet repeatedly clogged to the point of becoming completely unusable, causing a major inconvenience during our stay. Overall, the failure to clean the bed properly, inaccurate room layouts, and malfunctioning facilities made for an incredibly frustrating experience. I cannot recommend staying here until these operational and safety standards are addressed."

"The room and washroom very clean plus spacious. The only thing is when I booked the room it said US fallsview. It’s not a full huge view. It’s a small window of the US fallsview but mainly view of the city and parking Although the room was comfortable and really clean which is what I liked the most."

"Everything was wonderful. one of my favorite hotels by far. only issue i had was that another guest deadbolted the indoor pool so that nobody else could access it which resulted in me and my girlfriend not being able to use the pool."

"Our family of 5 had a great stay. The room and pool were perfect and the buffet was a great price. The staff were awesome giving us a few extras not included in the buffet. Conveniently close to Clifton hill. Definitely will stay here again."

"It stinks how the water park doesn't open until 10am but you have to check out at 11. You shouldn't have to pay for parking either."
