"Very nice and cool for everything"

"The Pod 51 is not for people who need space in their rooms. The hotel is staffed by a very nice and helpful crew. I would consider staying there again, but the room size is a deterrent. The neighborhood is great."

"The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful. But, there was no ice bucket or refrigerator or cups. The air conditioner was very loud. The clothing storage area and the carpet showed signs of age. Unfortunately the bar was being used for storage and there was no area to purchase snacks. The lobby was very small. I did like that there was free water available. And the hotel was in walking distance of many places that I visited in SoHo. Also, the beds were very comfortable."

"The location is great. I had to move 4 times to find a room that the ac worked or that it had a working tv or that a person across the shaft was not waving at me. the hotel said they were fixing the tv but that never happened. They gave me a credit on expedia for this poor stay"

"Once inside the hotel it was a cool oasis compared with the madness in New York City with the Nicks playing NBA Finals on two nights whilst we were there. Staff were very helpful, breakfast was good. Surrounding streets were littered with trash often and some of the street residents with issues were located nearby but were not causing obvious problems. "Terrible experience at Hyatt Grand Central. The room was extremely dusty and not properly cleaned. We found hair in the shower, sink, on the floor, and even on the bed sheets. I went to the front desk to report the issue, and I was told that someone would come to clean the room, but no one ever showed up and nothing was done. "this is very accessible to all nyc subway lines. its in the heart of the financial district, and a few minutes walk from the oculus which is also accessible to the Path trains to NJ. the area is safe and walkable and plenty of eateries (both chains and local) around. The best part - its accessible to the A train (walking) which connects directly to the jfk Howard Beach air train!!!!! No more crowds at Penn/ Grand Central/ jamaica air train!"

"Location! Modern and clean rooms, but very small. Quick elevators a plus. No complimentary breakfast and outside area were closed due to construction. Overall a pleasant experience."

"This hotel was a perfect spot for seeing some shows and being NYC tourists! The room was very comfortable and clean and had a nice (side) view of Times Square, and was very quiet even though there was a ton going on. It was also super easy to get to the subway when we needed it. I’d definitely stay there again especially since we got a good deal on the room for the location."
