"The hotel is in a great, convenient part of SF. The hotel is quirky and charming but unfortunately we did not have the best of rooms. It was very small and cramped and to the rear of the building. It looked out onto a covered lightwell which made the room dark and meant you had no idea what the weather was like outside. There was also nowhere to sit other than two chairs either side of a wardrobe. It was not somewhere that we looked forward to returning too at the end of each day. Having said...

"We only stayed for a short time, but the staff made us feel super welcome as they were friendly, professional and obliging. The room was exactly as per the website and the view was incredible. I would highly recommend The Jay and will definitely stay again next time we are in San Francisco."

"The hotel was clean and the location was great. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast/afternoon snacks were delightful. Only complaint was the street noise, two out of my three night stay I was kept awake by truck emptying recycling which seem to go on for over an hour. I understand that it’s an older building and an urban location. I would still stay here again."

"Einen ruhigen Schlaf darf man leider nicht erwarten. Die Wände und Decken sind nicht besonders Dick und außerdem waren fast alle Zimmertüren im Hotel verzogen mit riesigen Spaltmaßen, sodass man leider alle Gespräche im Hotelflur oder laufende Gäste in den anderen Zimmern mitbekommen hat. Die Badezimmer sind sehr klein, sodass man sich zwischen Tür und Wanne quetschen musste. Zudem waren noch Bohrlöcher mit Dübel zu sehen die nicht verschlossen wurden und die Badewannenamaturen waren kaputt....

"There was no charging station as advertised on Expedia. The photos are better than the actual property! I was hoping for a dog relief area for a pet friendly property! It is what you get for a conveniently located hotel near Fisherman’s Wharf- small and expensive! "

"The hotel was beautiful, we had a great view. But we were missing certain basic items like an ice bucket in the room. We Had to request guest services to bring ice. The restaurant food was delicious and very convenient."
