"The Raeburn is located in a very lively neighborhood. The property and rooms have a very boho feel to them. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. My main complaint is that the rooms are right above their outdoor bar which on a Friday night was very loud until well past midnight. On a different occasion we may have visited the bar and enjoyed the vibe however we had a very early flight to catch and needed to go to bed earlier than midnight. I probably would not stay here again...

"The staff was exceptional. We arrived early before our room was ready and the staff took care of our luggage and directed us to a delightful afternoon tea while we waited. We blew an electrical breaker trying to use an American hairdryer and they promptly got the electricity fixed. They were very flexible with dinner reservations, working around our daytime activities."

"The room was quiet, clean, spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was large, impeccably clean, with a separate tub and shower and enormous, warm bath towels. There was a foyer with a door that prevented any noise from the hall getting through to the room. The breakfast and breakfast service was first rate. The front desk was friendly and very helpful. "

"It has the best location, two minutes walk from the train station, centrally located in The Royal Mile. It is very close to restaurants, and shops. The bed was very comfortable! There is an ongoing remodeling and they start at 7 am. And the lift was out of service and there were signs for reception and none for the lift. We went around our floor a couple of times. The bathroom sink gets clogged easily."

"We were in the attic room on the 9th floor. The room was massive and the big bed comfortable. We had 3 windows each with upholstered double bench seats in front of them. The bathroom was big also but a little dark. The AC worked as it should and warmed or cooled the room very quickly. "Great, hospitable staff. Fantastic amenities, including the daily snack box. Free happy hour at the hotel pub: 1 hour of free beers and wine from 5pm to 6pm, best deal on planet earth. Excellent location, quiet, beautiful. Very happy with this selection and would recommend to anyone staying in Edinburgh."
