Blackwell Grange Hotel

Blackwell Grange Hotel

8/10 Good
"Me & my partner stayed here for 2 nights for his birthday, the hotel was nice enough however we had booked an 'executive' room which we were very disappointed with. The room was very large and looked impressive on arrival but after spending some time relaxing we noticed that there were a number of issues including very stained and grubby/worn out carpet, plug sockets by the bedside not working, broken furniture and fixtures, sticky pads on the wall above the bed and no curtains, just very fiddly wooden shutters that did not block out the light at all and made the room feel very uncomfortable and gave a cold atmosphere. There was also a lot of noise from other guests which made us feel quite unsettled. After speaking to reception we were able to move to another room which was much more comfortable but there was still a lot of noise from other guests unfortunately. On a positive note we did try the breakfast which we enjoyed and there was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, The hotel is a beautiful building overall, and everything else was good, we just felt that the room we were given was not as described and not of the standard expected for an executive room."

Redworth Hall Hotel

Redworth Hall Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"The room was clean and tidy, however when we stayed last year we had bottles of water in our room but this was not the case this time, I brought my own last year but didn't this year as I thought that bottles of water would be in our room. I also requested an extra pillow as the 2 pillows I had were flat, reception made a note of this but the pillow never arrived. Staff were all very welcoming, helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was lovely with a variety of breakfast choices available. the staff were also very lovely. We enjoyed the spa it was busy at times and found the morning was less busy. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. There were games to play on the lawn which we took advantage of especially mini golf. We had a good time and enjoyed our stay at Redworth Hall Hotel."
