"Parking easy, absolutely dog friendly (not just dog tolerant as some “dog friendly” venues turn out to be). Friendly and welcoming attitude received from all staff from start to finish. Couldn’t fault any aspect of our two night stay."

"I must admit, we were a little worried after reading some of the reviews, but our experience was just fantastic! From the polite and friendly staff, the beautiful surroundings, the room (number 14) which was huge and had a wonderful rain shower and complimentary sponge cakes (delicious!), as well as a fan to keep us cool in the unusually hot weather. We made good use of the spa facilities with a swim in the pool then a relaxing time in the hot tub and sauna to finish. We never had to wait...

"We stayed for one night and the hotel reception staff were so helpful, they really made our stay so easy. The room was lovely and the provision of a fan in the heat this weekend was much appreciated! We will definitely be back. Also, the layout and the way the property is maintained is gorgeous, such lovely plants made it feel really cared for and seeing the Peregrines nesting on the church opposite was the icing on the cake!"

"Just here for an overnight-staff were helpful - limited evening meal choice but was sufficient and enjoyable. Breakfast was fulfilling but hot plates would have helped. Will stay again when up this way xx"

"Nice room, with excellent bathroom. The outside needs tidying up and some painting, so we were initially concerned when we arrived, but the rooms were fine. Nice quiet location too. The cafe is shut due to staff illness, looks like has been for a while but the Two Flags cafe a mile down the road is excellent for all day breakfasts, especially if you like motorbikes."

"This was good value for money. Right in the center of Stamford, so very convenient. The room was clean, beds comfortable, very quiet. Breakfast selection was good and the staff very helpful and friendly. Parking at the hotel was limited but we got a space. Very satisfied, look forward to a return visit to try out the restaurant which was closed on this visit."
