"Lovely lodge right in the center of quaint Occidental. 2 minute walking distance to most restaurants and markets. We had an updated room and it was fresh and was a non-pet use room, which is nice for those with sensitive pet allgergies. Very comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Sometimes front desk is unmanned so review check in/check out instructions."

"Kendra was wonderful, but she was the highlight of the visit. The website advertises complimentary wine upon check-in as well as a host a amenities. We were expecting a 4 or 5 star experience given the enormous price paid for a single room. There was no wine offered at check-in. The jacuzzi was broken. The mini-golf and outdoor activities were not useable...no balls, a completely un-maintained area, etc. The room was nice, but staring up at the HVAC vents showed spider webs and dust. ...

"The property was very clean. We had a room that a direct access outside. The windows had no screens on them. There is a small refrigerator in the room. There is no staff, if you need to talk to anyone. The bakery across the street is very good, but closed on Tuesday/ Wed. There is a great general store across the street, but no other restaurant within walking distance."
