"This is a beautiful property however the worst customer service. Their free breakfast is a joke. THEY GIVE YOU A BOUCHER FOR ONE SMALL MUFFIN, SOME OLD FRUITS, AND CROSSANT. It was 3 of us so are we all supposed to share that? If you are offering this perk then do it the right way or just don't include that. They just want people to stay there and go to their restaurant so they can order more food because this free deal is a joke. The staff at the TIDES was the worst. Every single server had attitude. We stayed two nights and had 4 meals at that restaurant. All 4 times the servers were full of attitude and not happy to see anyone there. For my morning coffee, the cup that had my coffee had lipstick stains all over it. When i pointed that out to the server he showed attitude instead of apologizing and fixing it. He angrily took the cup and left. It was so disappointing and disgusting experience. It was our first time going to bodega bay and staying at this hotel ruined that experience for us. DO NOT EAT AT THEIR RESTAURANT AND THINK BEFORE YOU BOOK STAYING THERE. THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS IN THE AREA. "

"Cozy place to rest and enjoy the nature at the same time. The hotel is in front of the river which makes you have a beautiful view always. The free breakfast is really good! In addition, the restaurant of the hotel has an amazing chef whom makes all the food delicious.The German couple made this place magical. Totally recommend! "

"The owners and staff were all so very nice, the little details everywhere really make it a special place to visit!! Everything was clean, the beds were comfy and it was nice and warm even though it was a stormy weekend. The fires outside were such a nice touch. We will be back very soon! "

"Requested jetted tub hot water pressure was extremely low with Luke warm water husband has sciatica and muscular sclerosis and wasn’t able to soak his joints he was in a lot of pain and we couldn’t enough the amenities of the hotel like the outside hot tub because it was raining "

"We drove 2 and a half hours to Monte Rio for a Valentine's Day weekend trip with my girlfriend. We get to this creepy looking empty hotel and the "office" was closed. There were no other cars in the parking lot and a hand written sign on the door that said to call Jay on WhatsApp for assistance. My cell phone had no signal in the mountains but luckily my girlfriend did. I was trying to call the "hotel"all day earlier, to ask about something else, with no answer either. We tried calling him for a half hour and still the same. My girlfriend tried one more time before we went to find wi-fi for my phone and to our surprise, he finally answered. He said that he had an emergency and that there was nothing he could do about it and would make it up. He doesn't have any help? Family? Part time employee? Couldn't call and let me know earlier? He had no answer to my questions. Expedia customer service gave me the run around that night and we had to search another app to find another hotel somewhat near, pay and book another hotel for the weekend and drive an hour up the mountains on the coast, since we could not find another room in the area. I had read comments about this same thing happening to someone else and that Jay was making passes at guests and making visitors uncomfortable so I was weary of paying up front, but I was desperate and hoped that maybe people were exaggerating. A very big lesson learned. Pay more attention to the comments and reviews before hand. "

"The room was clean and spacious. Staff was friendly! The walls in the room I had were completely bare and white with only one wall having any sort of art. The TV was in the room with the couch but there was nothing in the bedroom. The fridge wasn’t working so my food ended up going to waste by morning which was about $20-$30 worth of food. I think it absolutely is a cute spot with potential but was not worth how much I spent on the room. "

"Room smelled of sewage. The bathroom was very small with a sliding door. We got the room because we saw a jacuzzi/spa in the listing, but it wasn’t running. Bummer! The speak easy was very cool though and the included breakfast was a plus."

"We loved staying here! My girlfriend and I stayed here on New Year's Eve and had a great stay. The inn is quaint and quiet, which made for a really pleasant way to ring in the new year. The room we had was very comfortable and unique. We drank wine at the wine bar in the lobby for most of our evening, and sat by the fireplace in our room for the rest of the time. Breakfast in the morning was really tasty as well, with a lot of different options. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in a real gem of Sonoma County. "
